PPC is blended cement produced by adding pozzolanic materials, such as fly ash, volcanic ash and calcined clay to clinker. PPC can be used for the majority of construction projects, such as in the building of houses, high-rise buildings and bridges. The production process for PPC is similar to that for OPC, but fly ash, the pozzolanic material which is generally used, is mixed with clinker in the cement mill stage of manufacturing. The fly ash content of PPC produced by us is normally between 15% and 20%. The use of fly ash enables cement to be produced using less clinker. P.P.C. is also produced using calcined clay as additive.

Portland Cement is composed of calcium silicates and aluminate and aluminoferrite. It is obtained by blending predetermined proportions of limestone, clay and other minerals in small quaniities which is pulverized and heated at high temperature around 1500 deg centigrade to produce clinker. The clinker is then ground with small quantities of gypsum to produce a fine powder called ordinary Porland Cement(OPC). When mixed with with water, sand and stone, it combines slowly with the water to form a hard mass called concrete.

Lime was known to the greeks and was widely used by the romans. The roman Architect and engineer vitruvius published the first specification for the use of lime in building in his celebrated work de architecture. The romans also knew how to ma.ke a lime-pozzolana cement by adding materials such as volcanic ash or powdered bricks, tiles and pottery to lime.That lime is an appropriate and durable binding material, especialty when mixed with pozzolana, 15 well proven. Manufactured by grinding together clinker & carefully selected Fly Ash (IS 3812) in propotions defined in IS Code 1489 – Part 1 (1991). The code also specifies fly Ash content be between 15-35%.

Suraksha porttand pozzolana cement comes under the category of blended cement. this cement is manufactured by inter-grinding about 73.o% cement clinker, 3.0% gypsum and 24.0% fine fty ash from thermal power plants to a finess of more than 38o m2lkg ln terms of blans,


PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement) Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) is manufactured by blending pozzolanic materials, OPC clinker, and gypsum either grinding them together or separately. Today Portland Pozzolana Cement is widely in demand for industrial and residential buildings, roads, dams, and machine foundations. Pozzolana is an important ingredient in PPC which is commonly used in the form of:

  • Fly ash

PPC is resistant to harsh water attacks and prevents the formation of calcium hydroxide at the time of cement setting and hydration. It withstands aggressive gases, thermal cracks, wet cracking, etc. The BIS quality specifications for Pozzolana materials used in PPC have been mentioned below:

  • Fly ash - IS 3812:1981

PPC is used in heavy load infrastructure and constructions such as marine structures, hydraulic structures, mass concreting works, plastering, masonry mortars, and all applications of ordinary Portland cement.


 Smaller particles of SURAKSHA PPC react completely with water to produce strength giving compounds.


Cement the products of reaction accumulate on the surface leaving the inner portion bigger cement particles in ordinary unused and hence strength is less.


Due to higher fineness . SURAKSHA PPC produces more strength giving compounds and thus results in increased water – tight (impermeable) structures.
